It might not seem it at the moment, but spring is just around the corner, and with the better weather we can look forward to getting back out onto the water after the winter hiatus.
To mark the end of winter and the return to sailing, PSYC are holding a spring “Launch Lunch” at O Sole Mio restaurant, Port Solent, on Sunday 29 March. Noon start.
This will be a good opportunity to enjoy a celebratory meal with good company. Smart-casual dress code.

Tortelloni Alla Panna. Tortelloni filled with spinach and ricotta cheese mixed in cream and tomato sauce.
Bistecca Di Manzo. Sirloin steak cooked to order. (Add blue cheese sauce for £4)

RALLY INFORMATION
Cowes Yacht Haven is the first marina on the west of the Medina river, before the chain ferry. Located in the heart of Cowes, it offers any state of tide access and full range of amenities for mariners, including chandleries and the all important latest clothing fashions.
Cowes is a short run to start the season and blow away those winter blues.
Please Note - This is Easter Weekend so Cowes may be busier than usual

PSYC Monthly Social Meeting
The PSYC Monthly Social Meeting is an opportunity for both members and potential members to meet for a drink and natter (food optional) upstairs on the mezzanine floor at the Harvester, Port Solent.
Time: 1900hrs for approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Registration: We need to know numbers to ensure we meet fire regulations, so please register.

Lymington river and its approaches offer a peaceful haven for boats, a beautiful river and harbour area, with friendly and professional service to all. Be aware this is a rafting rally and alongside moorings cannot be guaranteed.
The historic market town is full of interesting shops, designer boutiques, pubs, cafes, restaurants and a town museum. The Saturday market, dating back to the 13th century is held on the High Street and is popular throughout the year. We have arranged a packed programme as below.

Themed Barbecue Weekend - Grease is the word
Bembridge is in the beautiful setting of this natural and well-sheltered harbour, which is a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’. This is always a popular venue, so register early to avoid missing out.
Friday evening Barbecue, “Grease is the word” we get together for a sociable BBQ - and bring your own food. See Social Programme - which is “Totally Devoted to you!”

Bembridge is a tidal harbour with limited access - You are responsible for your own pilotage. It is a secondary port and you will need to check tide heights on the day for safe passage into the harbour. Book your Berth Direct with Bembridge Harbour - Bembridge operates an on-line visitor berthing system on their website. We have reserved 25 Rafting Berths which should be eligible for a rally discount using rally code PSYC26. Alternatively you may book a berth outside of the rafting area (i.e. finger berth) which will not get a rally discount - you can book this without a rally code at anytime. Please note, after you have registered your berth with Bembridge harbour, you must also register for the rally and, if appropriate select: "Finger/Other Berth Booked"

Grease is the word! Themed Barbecue Weekend.
Friday evening from 6pm - Wear your best ‘Danny’ or ‘Sandy’ outfits or even one of the ‘Pink Ladies’. Fancy Dress optional but preferred. BYO drinks and BYO BBQ food, utensils etc to cook beside The Grand Marquee on the Quayside. Then be prepared to boogie the night away!
Saturday - 11 a.m. there will be a fun competition. All will be revealed on the day.
Saturday evening: 6.30 pre-dinner drinks at Brading Haven Yacht Club. Followed by Dinner. See pre-order/pre-pay 2 or 3 course menu. NOTE: Travel to BHYC by either your own tender, on foot or by the water taxi.
Sunday Lunch: 12.30 or 1p.m. Weather dependent, Faith picnic on the beach. BYO Deckchair and small picnic table if you have - join us on the beach for a shared picnic - ***Bring your own sharing plate to add to the feast!!*** BYO drinks

PROVISIONAL RALLY INFORMATION
Universal and Swanwick Marinas are both part of the Premier family at the top of the vibrant Hamble River. Enjoy tranquil riverside walks or simply relax and soak up the vibrant marinas' atmosphere.
The rally will be based at Universal (primarily) and Swanwick marinas. Both are run by Premier so Port Solent based boats and indeed any other Premier marina berth holder should be free of charge, depending on how many in-year freebies have already been taken.
Due to berth availability on the day, vessels will be allocated either to Swanwick or Universal by Premier Marinas at Universal It is a 15-20 min walk between the marinas.

A sociable circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight with overnight stops in Yarmouth and Gosport.
Sailing down to Yarmouth on the Friday afternoon tide with an earlyish start on Saturday morning to take us out through the iconic Needles before the tide turns eastwards for the return sail to Gosport.
Yarmouth is a picturesque fishing, ferry and yachting port, widely regarded as one of the jewels of the South Coast. The deep water harbour retains its old world charm, while visiting boats will find a range of amenities which are very much up to date, and accepted as being among the best in the Solent.

Saturday - Early start for the anticlockwise circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight. Arrival at a Free Night for Premier Berth Holders in Gosport Marina. Dinner at Gun Wharf Quays, venue to be announced.
One of the few privately owned rivers in the country, the beautiful Beaulieu river has been carefully conserved by the Montagu family for over four centuries. Adjacent to the historic Bucklers Hard Village where in the olden day British Warships were built with oak from the New Forest, the area is full of history and remains an unspoilt haven.
The marina has been updated and now benefits from modern facilities and a personal touch.

Friday night - BYO food and drinks to the Grand Marquee BBQ. Be entertained by a fabulous singer / guitarist and listen to and enjoy some all time favourite songs.
Saturday - Join our exciting Karting Day at Wight Kart Track. Coach trip to and from the marina. Who will win the top spots, men and ladies, and be awarded the super bottle of bubbly? Race again both fellow drivers and the clock.
Sunday - Enjoy a Sunday Luncheon at The Bembridge Sailing Club. Travel by either own tender, walk or the marina water taxi.
Southampton Town Quay is a short walk to Southampton Town Centre. Close by there is the remains of the town walls along with the historic old Bargate.
There is a wide choice of restaurants covering most cuisines, along with a modern shopping centre.
Alternatively watch the cruise ships or cargo ships arriving or departing the nearby terminals, this should be a fascinating rally suitable for everyone.

This is 4 rallies running consecutively, come and join in the fun, do just one night, pop in and out, or sign up all 14 nights, the choice is yours.
This will be released as 4 separate rallies on the same date, however they link together to produce a 14 day holiday, starting in Lymington, proceeding on to Poole, then Weymouth before returning for the grand finale in Yarmouth.

Chichester harbour is one the undeveloped coastal areas in Southern England. Bright wide expanses and intricate creeks, a major wildlife haven and among some of Britain’s most popular boating waters.
A premier marina so berth holders can use their free nights
Chichester Marina is located at the eastern end of Chichester Harbour, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty that offers a myriad of quiet anchorages to discover. It is a locked marina and has shallow approaches at some states of tide.
